From 2500 kW to 5000 kW, the SW-2500K-UD, SW-3450K-UD, and SW-5000K-UD are medium-voltage grid-forming energy storage units with built-in step-up transformers — ready for direct connection to 6–35 kV grids in large-scale microgrid and grid-side projects.
The UD series is a compact, all-in-one power conversion platform for large-scale energy storage. Each model — SW-2500K-UD, SW-3450K-UD, and SW-5000K-UD — delivers 2500 kW, 3450 kW, or 5000 kW of rated output and comes with an integrated step-up transformer (2500–5000 kVA, 0.69/6–35 kV, DY11), allowing the unit to tie directly into medium-voltage grids from 6 kV to 35 kV. Merging the PCS and transformer into one enclosure reduces land use, transport effort, and project cost while increasing power density.
On the DC side, the series operates on a 1500 V architecture with a wide voltage window and supports grid-forming modes such as VF, PQ, and VSG. Multiple units can run in parallel off-grid with black-start capability, extending deployments from tens to hundreds of megawatts. The cabinets are protected to IP54/IP55 for reliable performance in cold, hot, and high-salinity environments, with coordinated multi-layer protection for system safety. For integration, CAN/RS485/Ethernet plus Modbus, IEC 104, and IEC 61850 protocols enable remote monitoring and smooth connection to large-scale energy management systems.
